Optionally, you can show a counter to show how many people have taken your action so far.

You'll nearly always want to select both the Counter and Text Content Blocks. You can add a Text content block above the Counter, below the Counter, or both.

For the Text, there are various tokens you can add to the counter text like {{counter.current}} and {{counter.target}}. These will be automatically replaced with the correct number.

{{counter.current}} people have taken action so far. Will you join them to help us reach {{counter.target}}? will be shown on the page as 200 people have taken action so far. Will you join them to help us reach 500?

You're not restricted to this. You could add any other text you want. You can also format text as bold, italic, numbered and bullet point lists, as well as headings and links.

In the Counter section, you can choose if you want your counter to show as a progress bar or thermometer. In the ‘Counter targets’ field, you can define what numbers should be used as the next target. When your action reaches 95% of a target, it will automatically switch to the next highest target. So at 475 signatures it will say 475 (current) out of 500 (target). Then after 1 more signature at 476 signatures, it will say 476 (current) out of 1000 (target).

If you are collecting signatures on your action elsewhere, maybe on the street or on a different platform, you can add that number into the ‘Collected elsewhere’ field to boost the number on your Counter on this Impact Stack page.
